Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong (MYO)

Founded in 2003, Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong (MYO) is a registered charity in HK and is one of the finest youth orchestras in Asia.  MYO consists of 4 orchestras of different levels and all members of the MYO must pass an audition.

Audition

Audition will usually take place during rehearsals and be conducted by the respective conductor. The audition consists of two parts: in the first part, you need to perform two pieces of different styles; while in the second part, you will have a sight reading test. If you have passed the audition successfully, the conductor will assign you to the orchestra that best suits you and decide the section and desk you will be playing according to your musical ability.
