Michael Ma - 小提琴
Michael Ma is appointed as the Head of Strings at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts since 1996 and prior to his appointment he was the Professor of Violin at the University of Oklahoma. He has appeared frequently as soloist, and held the position of concertmaster with many orchestras including the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, the Mainly Mozart Festival, San Diego and the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra. He also performed with our MYO in the Playing with the Masters Concert in 2003.

Fan Ting - 小提琴
Graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music and the Julliard School, under the tutelage of renowned violinists and pedagogues such as Brodsky, Fuchs, Fujiwara and Galamian, he passed on this distinguished tradition to his pupils at the Queen's College of the City University of New York, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. At present, he holds the position of principal second violin of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He also allied with Michael Ma, Ray Wang and Leung Kin Fung to form the New Art String Quartet and played extensively in Hong Kong, Europe and China.

Wong Wai Ming - 小提琴及中提琴
Wong Wai Ming is a teacher for violin and viola at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts since 1996 and he also has extensive performing experience. He joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra at age 13 as the youngest orchestra member and has performed in many concerts with acclaimed artists. His teachers are numerous, among them Max Rostal, Oscar Shumsky, Ulrich Koch and William Primrose. He has wide extensive experiences in avant-garde music. He was one of the founders of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta in 1989, and has taken the position of concertmaster for ten years.

Miyaka Suzuki - 小提琴及中提琴
Miyaka Suzuki, gave her debut recital at age of 15 after she won the Tokyo Metropolitan Concert Competition. Miyaka started her music career as concertmaster in the Tokyo Meros Chamber Orchestra. She further her studies at Mannes College and Manhattan School of Music with Glenn Dicterow, Sheryl Staples and Yoko Takebe, where she attained her Master’s Degree of Music and Professional Diploma on full scholarship and Whittker Award. She has worked with several orchestras in the United States, including concertmaster in the Ash Lawn Opera Orchestra, the Long Island Philharmonic, and Harrisburg Symphony. As a member of La Sale Trio and Solstice Quartet, her performances were often broadcast on WQXR, New York. She is a member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra since 2001.

吳晉 - 小提琴
十二歲開始學習小提琴。 在 顧品德老師 和 林克漢老師的啟蒙下於香港校際音樂節比賽中屢獲獎項。 1983年曾以副團長資格與香港青年交響樂團到中國演出。 1985年吳晉考上香港演藝學院大專課程。 師承 利憲民 老師主修小提琴﹐同時跟隨 葉詠詩小姐和 夏丁先生 副修指揮。 在學期間曾兩度取得埃索石油公司獎學金及獲委任為學院交響樂團團長。 1989年畢業後,他在香港音樂事務統籌處 (現稱音樂事務處) 工作﹐並於1994年考入香港中文大學繼續進修。
1990-2008 他任香港小交響樂團 副樂團首席,亦是該團的創辦人之一。
吳晉曾擔任由通利琴行主辦“香港青年音樂家大獎” 以及音樂事務處主辦 “弦樂交流會” 的評審委員。
近年來﹐吳晉除了在香港演藝學院指導初級課程的學生和訓練兩組弦樂合奏外﹐也受聘於庇理羅士女子中學﹑拔萃男書院(小學部)﹑聖士提反女子中小學以及香港中文大學﹐擔任小提琴導師又或兼任弦樂團指揮。
在2004至09期間,他帶領拔萃男書院(小學部) 及庇理羅士女子中學弦樂團在校際音樂節中分別獲得两冠两亞及四冠二亞的驕人成绩。

Richard Bamping - 大提琴
Richard Bamping has held the title of Principal Cellist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra since 1993. His many solo appearances with the Philharmonic have been greeted with critical acclaim. He played in many chamber music ensembles performing across the United Kingdom, Europe and the U.S.A. He has also performed with many of the leading orchestras in Europe including the Philharmonia, the Royal Philharmonic and the European Community Chamber Orchestras, and served for four years as Principal 'Cellist with the London Soloists' Chamber Orchestra.

Michael Wilson - 雙簧管
Michael Wilson was appointed Co-Principal Oboe of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in September 2005. For the past two years, he has been working regularly with the London based orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra as well as outside of the capital, with the Bournemouth Symphony and Ulster Orchestras. He is Guest Principal Oboe for the English Symphony Orchestra in which he has toured with Nigel Kennedy playing a double concerto.
Michael studied with Richard Simpson and Gordon Hunt at the Guildhall School of Music, where he graduated with First Class Honours and received the 'Philip Jones' prize for wind. He was then awarded a place in the newly founded training orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia, which gave rise to many opportunities including a concert directed by Vladimir Ashkenazy. Prior to this, Michael was in the Cyprus State Chamber Orchestra. It was in Cyprus that he first performed A Quiet City by Aaron Copland scored for trumpet and Cor Anglais. Michael has performed in many chamber music concerts, including members of the London based Orchestras, most recently a wind quintet recital with Principal players of the Philharmonia Orchestra.

Victor Tam - 雙簧管
Victor Tam is the Founder and Chairman of the Hong Kong Wind Philharmonia, the Hong Kong Youth Wind Philharmonia and the Hong Kong Junior Wind Philharmonia. After graduating from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1992, Victor was awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship to study at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music as a student of James Caldwell where he received the “Oboe Artistry Award” upon graduation. He then furthered his graduate studies at the Indiana University School of Music with a full scholarship and teaching assistantship with Marc Lifschey.
After graduating from Indiana University, Victor was appointed Principal Oboe of the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra in Korea with whom he performed until 1999. While with the Suwon Philharmonic he has performed extensively throughout Korea and on concert tours to Thailand, England and Spain. As a performer, Victor has also served as guest principal oboe with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra with whom he went on a concert tour of China, and the Pusan Philharmonic in Korea with whom he has also performed as soloist in 1997.
Mr. Tam is currently on the faculty of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Hong Kong Baptist University and serves as band director and faculty tutor at numerous schools throughout Hong Kong. In addition to his conducting and pedagogical activities, Victor continues to perform as an oboist throughout Asia.

Choy Kwok Tin, Martin - 單簧管
Martin Choy is now teaching Clarinet and Saxophone at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Baptist University and the Hong Kong Music Institute. Besides, he is the Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Wind Ensemble Association. He performed as soloist with different orchestras such as Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Macau Chamber Orchestra. He also performed with our MYO in the Playing with the Masters 2 concert in 2004. Martin Choy is also an active band director for primary schools and for the past few years, he has been putting efforts in the cooperation with local composers to write new works for school band training.

Chu Wing Hang, Pluto - 薩克管及單簧管
After graduation from saxophone performance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under the direction of the bass clarinetist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Mr. Michael Campbell, Pluto was admitted by the University of Houston (Houston, Texas, U.S.) with scholarship and majoring in saxophone performance. He followed Dr. Karen Wylie, who was the member of the world famous and the only female saxophone quartet group.
Pluto received various championships in saxophone performance during his study. He performed with many local and overseas groups and as a soloist, he performed in Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Symphonic Band, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Senior Band, Brandenburg Saxophone Ensemble, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Wind Ensemble, Shatin Wind Orchestra, the Hong Kong New Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hong Kong Wind Philharmonic and the Basic Notes Big Band.
Pluto was one of the soloists of the Bolero of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra that has participated in both local and overseas musical performances, including Macau, South China, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Australia and the U.S. He was also enthusiastic in playing local pops music, and played with various Hong Kong pop artists such as Leon Lai, Mark Lui, Kelly Chan etc.

Tsui Wang Chun, Dennis - 法國號
Dennis began his horn playing at the age of 13
in S.T.F.A. Seaward Woo College where he studied with Vincent To. In 2010, He
started studying with Homer Lee at Hong Kong Baptist University.
Dennis was the co-principal hornist in Hong Kong
Baptist University Symphony Orchestra. He was also the co-principal in
Collegium Musicum Hong Kong which was invited to give performances in Europe,
including Leipzig, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg and Munich in 2012.
In 2014, Dennis was selected to a hornist in Aurora
Music Festival in Sweden. During the festival, he worked with Will Sanders
(Horn), Sarah Chang (Violin), Konstantin Bogino (Piano) etc. for chamber Music
and also orchestral Music.
In 2010, Dennis was selected to perform in horn
masterclasses of Jeff Nelson, a member of Canadian Brass and in 2012 a
masterclass by Komsun Dilokkunanant.
Dennis became a member of Hong Kong Youth Symphony
Orchestra and represented Hong Kong in Expo 2010 Shanghai China in 2010. In
2011, he joined Galaxy Wind Ensemble to go to Taiwan for the Chiayi City
International Band Festival. Now, he is the principal horn of Hong Kong Chamber
Wind Philharmonia which performed in Thailand for a joint band performance in
the late summer of 2012.
Apart from Orchestra playing, Dennis also engages
in different chamber music ensemble. He is currently a member of Groove Wind
Quintet. In 2015, the quintet was invited to perform in International Double
reed Society Conference 2015 in Tokyo.
Besides, Dennis is also a brass tutor in primary
and secondary schools in Hong Kong. He is now a Brass Coach in Metropolitan
Youth Orchestra of HK.

Fu Chi Fung, Jimmy - 小號
傅智豐自小師承趙啟強先生學習小號,及後於香港浸會大學修讀音樂,師承香港管弦樂團助理首席小號莫思卓先生(Christopher Moyse)主修小號,取得文學士榮譽學位。
傅氏曾於香港浸會大學交響樂團擔任首席小號,及後獲選參與由世界管樂協會組織的第十五屆世界青年管樂團,該團是從全世界挑選出優秀的青年演奏者所組成,更被大會選出於 Ole
Edvard Antonsen的大師班上獨奏演出。另外,於2013 年獲香港管弦樂團選中,參與賽馬會音樂密碼教育計劃-「Share the Stage」與世界頂級指揮 Maestro Lorin Maazel 及樂團同台綵排及演出。
傅氏活躍於管樂界,自小參加香港節日管樂團,後於包括澳門交響樂團等不同樂團作客席樂手演出,更隨團到亞洲不同地方獻藝。他亦以特約樂手參與不同範疇的音樂會,例如歌劇、流行音樂劇、演唱會及爵士樂音樂會等。

Tam Wing Kin, Kenneth - 長號
Kenneth started playing trombone at the age of twelve. His teachers included Derek So Tak Tai, Joseph Yu Lung Sang and Winky Chau Wing Kam. In 2008, he studied the Bachelor of Arts(music) in Hong Kong Baptist University with Benjamin
Pelletier and Jarod Vermette, the Principal trombone of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. After graduating from Hong Kong Baptist University, he studied with Simon Cowen, the principal trombone of Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at Royal Northern College of Music.
He is enthusiastic in participating in musical event and traveling around. He participated in WASBE International Youth Wind Orchestra in 2011, SliderAsia 2011 and 2015 and Slide Factory – European Trombone Festival 2013. He has played in masterclasses of James Olin, Simon Johnson, Adrian Morris and Robert Holliday. Also, he had the tuition by Christopher Houlding, Bradley Palmer, Pierre Volders, Jiggs Whigham, Susan Addison, Roger Cutts, Aline Nistad and Charles Hurt.
He has gone to many places such as Netherland, Austria, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Macau for music festivals and competitions.
