ORCHESTRA MANAGER

Overview:
The Orchestra Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing the administrative operations and event planning for the orchestra. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in orchestra administration, event planning, and managerial roles. The Orchestra Manager will lead and manage teams to ensure the smooth functioning of all orchestra activities and play a vital role in shaping the orchestra's future by fostering young musical talent and ensuring continued success.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Orchestra Administration & Operations:
- Manage daily administrative operations and coordinate audition processes for new members.
- Ensure seamless rehearsals and performances in collaboration with the Artistic Director/Conductors.

2. Scheduling & Event Planning:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule of rehearsals, concerts, and events.
- Coordinate with members, staff, and venues for rehearsals and performances.
- Assist in planning concerts, including venue arrangements and technical requirements.

3. Finance & Budget Management:
- Handle finances, including expense tracking and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager on budget adherence and fee management.

4. Communication & Coordination:
- Ensure clear and timely communication with members, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Disseminate important information about rehearsals, concerts, and events.
- Coordinate updates with the Artistic Director/Conductor and Section Coaches/Music Educators.

5. Event Planning & Venue Coordination:
- Manage logistics and planning for concerts and events, including vendor and venue relationships.
- Oversee stage layout, equipment placement, and safety considerations.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Music Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in orchestra administration and event planning.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

RELATIONSHP MANAGER

Overview:
The Relationship Manager plays a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including parents, musicians, music educators, and community organizations. This position involves leading strategic initiatives to enhance the overall experience of orchestra members, focusing on musical growth, collaborations, and community performances.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Proactively build and cultivate relationships with parents, musicians, music educators, and community organizations.
- Lead strategic planning to enhance the musical, cultural, and social experiences of orchestra members.

2. Program Development:
- Develop and implement programs that enrich the educational environment for young musicians.
- Foster parent involvement and support in creating a vibrant musical community.

3. Collaboration & Strategic Alignment:
- Collaborate closely with the artistic director, conductors, and staff to align strategic objectives with the orchestra’s vision.

4. Rehearsal Engagement:
- Attend weekly rehearsals, held on weekends, to engage with orchestra members and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Arts Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in relationship management and stakeholder engagement, preferably in the music, arts, or education industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to drive initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for enriching the experiences of young musicians.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of music education and orchestral operations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
