What
is OL?
Orchestra-Lite (OL) is specially designed for beginners with
ABRSM grades 3 to 4 or equivalent and without orchestral experience,
and it aims to develop students’ interest in music. Students are
exposed to orchestral classics arranged for their level, enhancing
their knowledge in various music genres, as well as make them acquire
the fundamental essence of ensembleship. Different from traditional
orchestral practices, students engage in sectional as well as
orchestra practice in each rehearsal. In sectional sessions, students
receive direct guidance from our professional coaches to refine their
skills in score reading, rhythm as well as articulations while in
orchestra practice, students not only experience how different
instruments can create multi-layered music together and develop team
spirit, but also cultivate their multi-tasking ability by
simultaneously following the conductor, reading the music and
listening to others.
